Terms of service

Bellbolt is a service operated by an individual resident in Spain ("Bellbolt", "we", "us"). These terms are a contract between Bellbolt and the business that creates an account ("you"). By creating an account or using Bellbolt you accept them. Our privacy policy and refund policy are part of these terms.

1. For businesses only

Bellbolt is a service for businesses and professionals, not for consumers. By accepting these terms you confirm that you act for a business, that you are at least 18 years old and that you can bind that business. If you add team members, you are responsible for what they do in your account.

Keep your password safe. Tell us right away if you think someone used your account without permission.

As neither party is a consumer, you agree that the pre-contract information of article 27 and the confirmation of article 28 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI) do not apply.

2. What Bellbolt does

Bellbolt gives each business a public website with online booking, pages for its services and areas, a portfolio and reviews, and a web app for the team (bookings, calendar, customers and days off). Some features may change or improve over time; we will not remove a core feature you pay for without telling you first.

If you choose done-for-you setup, we prepare your website with the information and photos you give us. Review it before you share it: you remain responsible for what it says.

3. Free trial, plans and payment

New accounts get a 14-day free trial with no card. If you do not choose a plan before the trial ends, your website is hidden until you do. Your data is kept as described in section 11.

Plans are billed monthly in US dollars, in advance, and renew automatically until you cancel. The current prices are on our home page. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

Prices do not include taxes. Where the law requires it (for example VAT for customers in Spain or the EU), we add them or apply the reverse charge.

If we change prices, we will tell you at least 30 days before the change affects you. If a payment fails, we will ask you to update your card; if it stays unpaid, we may hide your website and limit your account until it is paid.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from Plan & billing in your dashboard. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and is not renewed. Refunds follow our refund policy.

5. Your content and your customers

Your content is yours: texts, photos, logos, services, customers and bookings. You give us permission to store, process and show it only to run Bellbolt for you (for example, to publish your website). This permission ends when your content is deleted.

You are responsible for your content and your business. In particular you confirm that:

  • you have the right to use the photos, logos and texts you upload;
  • what your website says is true, including prices, guarantees, insurance and emergency availability;
  • you hold the licenses and permits your trade requires, and you include in your website any information the law requires (for example, a contractor license number in some US states);
  • you have a valid legal basis to give us your customers’ data and you inform them about it. Bellbolt adds a privacy page to your website as a starting point; adapt it to your business.

Booking confirmations and other emails to your customers are sent on your behalf and in your name.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Bellbolt to break the law, to send spam, to publish false, offensive or infringing content, to collect data you are not allowed to collect, or to attack, overload or reverse engineer the service. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, telling you why unless the law or an urgent risk prevents it.

7. Web addresses

Your website starts on a free address under a Bellbolt domain. You can connect your own domain; you keep ownership of it and pay for it with your registrar. We may change the platform address with reasonable notice.

8. Availability and backups

We work to keep Bellbolt available and secure, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. We may pause it briefly for maintenance. We keep regular backups; you can also export your customers and bookings to CSV at any time, and we recommend that you do so regularly.

9. Our software

Bellbolt, its software and its design belong to us. These terms give you the right to use them while your account is active, nothing more. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we can use them freely.

10. Data protection

How we treat personal data is in our privacy policy. When you put your customers’ data in Bellbolt, you are the controller and we process it for you as your processor under the data processing terms in section 15.

11. Ending your account

You can close your account at any time. We may close it if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or with 30 days’ notice if we stop offering the service.

After your subscription ends, or your trial ends without a plan, we keep your data for 90 days so you can come back or export it, and then we delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner. Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires.

12. Liability

Bellbolt is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost jobs or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

You are responsible for the work you do for your customers and for your content. If a third party makes a claim against us because of your content or your services, you will cover the resulting costs.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is important, we will tell you by email or in your dashboard at least 30 days before it applies. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes will be decided by the Spanish courts that are competent under the law; for customers established outside Spain, and to the extent the law allows, by the Spanish courts. Before going to court, write to us and we will try to solve it together.

These terms are available in English and Spanish. If they differ, the version in the language you signed up in prevails.

15. Data processing terms

These terms apply when we process personal data on your behalf (Article 28 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, and as a "service provider" under US state privacy laws such as the CCPA).

  • What, why and for how long: the data you and your website visitors put in Bellbolt, processed only to provide the service, for as long as your account is active and the deletion period in section 11.
  • Data and people: your customers and people who request a booking (name, phone, email, address, job description, photos of the property, booking history and notes) and your team members. Do not upload special categories of data (such as health data) or payment card numbers.
  • Your instructions: we process the data only on your documented instructions, which are these terms and how you use the service, including for international transfers, unless the law requires otherwise (in that case we will tell you first, unless the law forbids it). We will tell you immediately if we think an instruction infringes data protection law. We do not sell or share the data, and we do not use it for our own purposes.
  • Confidentiality and security: only authorized people can access it, under a duty of confidentiality. We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, separation between businesses, private storage for customer photos, abuse protection and backups.
  • Subprocessors: you authorize Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, database and file storage) and Resend (email delivery). We will tell you before adding or replacing one; if you object for a reasonable data protection reason, you can cancel. We impose on them the same data protection obligations, and we remain fully liable to you for them.
  • International transfers: both subprocessors are in the United States and certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; where that does not apply, transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
  • Help with your obligations: we help you answer requests from people exercising their rights, and with security, impact assessments and consultations where needed.
  • Security breaches: we will tell you of any breach that affects your data without undue delay, aiming for 48 hours from when we become aware and in time for you to meet your own 72-hour deadline, with the information we have.
  • End of the service: at the end we delete the data (or give you an export if you ask first), within the period in section 11, unless EU or Spanish law requires us to keep it. Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
  • Audits: we will give you the information you need to show compliance with this section, and we will allow for and contribute to audits, including inspections, by you or an auditor you appoint, with reasonable notice, at your cost and at most once a year.
